Alakh Haryana – Tornadoes in US /The devastating storm and tornado once again wreaked havoc in America. At least 21 people have been reported killed in severe tornadoes on Friday and Saturday in the South and Midwest parts of the US. No data has been received till the time of writing the news of the number of injured. According to American media reports, the tornado caused havoc in Arkansas, Illinois (southern state of Arkansas) of America.

According to the US National Weather Service, in many parts of the state of Arkansas in the southern US, the wind speed in this tornado was so high that even heavy vehicles started flying in the air.
According to the New York Times, the tornado caused tremendous damage to businesses and critical infrastructure. It states that the governor of Arkansas had declared a state of emergency on Friday afternoon in view of the bad weather. Also a state of emergency was declared in Missouri.

One person was killed in North Little Rock as a result of the tornado and damaging storm surge, officials said. Also two people in the van were killed. Little Rock Mayor Frank Scott Jr. said at least 30 people were hospitalized there. Not only this, more than 2,000 houses have been damaged. The walls and roofs of the houses have collapsed. In addition, the tornado overturned parked vehicles and downed trees and power lines.

At the same time, one person died due to this in northern Illinois on Friday night. Along with this, 28 other people have been admitted to the hospital. Fire Chief Sean Shadley said the roof collapsed at a theater in Belvidere, with 260 people inside.
In addition to Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana and Tennessee, the National Weather Service reported tornadoes in Wisconsin, Iowa and Mississippi.

Significantly, Friday’s tornado came a week after a devastating storm and severe thunderstorms hit the southeastern US state of Mississippi. 26 people died in a tornado in Mississippi. Local and federal officials reported that more than a hundred miles of area had been damaged. At the same time, US President Joe Biden described the deadly Mississippi storm as shocking and assured all possible help. He visited Rolling Fork on Friday. The Mississippi community was hardest hit by last week’s tornado.
